Welcome to another link extravaganza! I hope everyone had a great week. It’s been pretty good at FFB. We received our economic stimulus check which got direct deposited to our ING Direct account. We also received some health spending and transportation spending account money I put in for at work. Also by next week I think I’ll have an interesting announcement for you but we’ll have to wait for now.
Here are the carnivals/festivals I’ve taken part in this week:
Money Under 30 hosted the 152nd Carnival of Personal Finance which included my article Don’t Waste Money on Oil Changes.
Quest For Four Pillars hosted the 125th Festival of Frugality - Save Some Money If You Are Rich Edition. Beware Deceptive Gas Prices was an editors pick! (Check out the maid picture in the festival if you dare!).
Can I Get Rich On a Salary hosted the 12th Money Hacks Carnival - The Twelve Labors of Heracles. Ways To Keep Up With Personal Finance Blogs was included.
Now for some finds in my Google Reader:
Drive Free Cars And Retire Rich at Bible Money Matters. An interesting way to go about buying a car.
Things To Consider When Purchasing A Car at Milk Your Money. Hmm…two car posts. Must be because we’re thinking about getting a mini-van.
10 Things That Bring Success In Personal Finance: Take Ownership at Prime Time Money. It all comes down to you and no one else when dealing with your money.
Scammers Are Already Out To Take Your Rebate Check! at My Investing Blog. So many scams out there that look legit…you have to be careful.
The Rich Drink Better Beer, Not More at Freakonomics. As we earn more money the quality, not the quantity of our stuff goes up.
12 Reasons Why High Gas Prices Are GOOD For America at Wisdom Journal. The high prices give us a chance to re-think our gas reliance/consumption.
The Big Present I Gave My First Employer at brip blap. We work like dogs for a company but are we doing it for the right reasons? Who benefits?
That’s it for this week. Go and Read, Learn, and Enjoy!
Sign up with ING Direct and get a $25 bonus. See here for details.

Hot diggity thanks for the love!
I always liked to think I worked like a mighty lion or something grandiose like that. Actually I was probably more of a mewling lemming, but I’ll stick with the earlier mental picture.

Steve
@ Four Pillars - No prob. Great work with the carnival! I know how tough they can be to put together.
@ PT - Thanks PT. Hope your went well!
@ Pete - You’re very welcome Pete.
@ Hank - Hot diggity? Haha…you’re welcome Hank.
@ Steve - Either way you learned from the experience! It makes me think about the time I put in at my job.
WE got our check and was all excited about it, but the next day, our brakes went out, and we dumped a grand into it. I guess we did stimulate Monro Mufflers though!
