Honda Odyssey - Potential New Car?

I’ve spent the past week researching and shopping for a new car. A mini-van to be exact.  Out little Corolla is a great car but it’s getting too small for our family of four these days.  I’ll post more about the process later on but let me tell you it can be exhausting and quite ridiculous at times shopping for a car!

Make sure you stop back on the 30th for my installation of the “Frugal Things To Do In…” series done by the Money Life Network!  My location is New York City!  This place is kinda quiet and boring so I’m not sure what I’ll write about…  And if you have you’re own blog you can join in too!

Anyway, here are the carnivals I participated in:

The 162nd Carnival of Personal Finance: Baseball Edition was hosted at CreditCards.ComGoals Are Great Motivators was included as was my Five Ways Fantasy Baseball is Like Personal Finance as part of the Finance section.  Thanks to Emily for the mention!

The Money Hacks Carnival #21 was hosted by Help My Cash Grow.  I was honored with an Editors Pick for my post Dealing With Financial Problems With A Loved One.

Some great articles found in my reader:

I agree, NYC was a very quiet and boring place. I can’t wait to visit again! ;)

Thanks for the mention and good luck finding a new car. :)

We were shopping for a minivan, but decided against it. We need to get one more baby-safe vehicle to replace my truck, but I don’t think a minivan would be the best choice for us right now. If we need the space, we’ll rent a van for our vacation trips.

Thanks for including my article in your roundup.

@ Patrick - Yeah, hard to find any excitement here!

@ Caveman - No prob on the inclusion. Sounds like a good plan for you on renting a van. We’re finding our car, though safe, is real tight for us. The new mini-vans get good safety ratings from what I can tell (at least Toyota and Honda).

@ Momma - I hope my post provides a lot of info for your visit. Been working on it. Love to hear your input once it’s out!
