The first week of school has come for our daughter, now entering third grade. Seriously I feel like it was last year that I took her to kindergarten! This is the first time in a long while that my wife isn’t going back to school (work). We haven’t felt the effects of one income yet. I’m sure we will by month’s end. But it is nice having my wife home for the kids and a lot less stressful in the mornings and evenings. We’ve been working on finding little things we can save on. It all adds up you know!
Now to the carnivals I took part in:

Thanks for the mention, FFB!
And since you asked, I never went through a Disney Princess phase! I despised the color pink. Until guess when? I was pregnant with my daughter!! It’s like she just oozed pink from the womb LOL!
Now I am pretty girly but I still love football.
It was financially tough for a while when my wife stop working to take care of the baby. But that taught us how to live with less, and also encouraged me to earn more. Now that my wife is back working part-time, we are in better shape than ever. Good luck with your change.
And thank you for mentioning my asset allocation article.
Oh I never went thought a Disney pink princess phase. Seriously. I grew up playing soccer, training for swim meets, and playing the trumpet for band. I had no time for pink.
And thank you so much for the mention!
Thanks for the linkback to the money hacks carnival. You were close to making the editor’s pick as it was a great article…!
Thanks for the mention!
@ Emily - Come to think of it my sister never went through one that much. My wife says she didn’t really either. Maybe it’s something that skips to the daughter? Or maybe Disney has more marketing for it now? Still, little girls can be real cute in that phase!
@ Pinyo - That’s great to hear! If we can make it now then we’ll be doing real well when my wife decides to go back.
@ Squawkfox - Ok, here’s the study - Do women who didn’t go through a princess phase grow up to be bloggers? Hmm…
@ Andy - Thanks for letting me know! I’ll take an almost!
@ Patrick - My pleasure!
