We’re A Family Of Five!

Post image for We’re A Family Of Five!

Our family recently increased by one! On July 7th my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl!  I went into work and wasn’t there more than a couple of hours before my wife called and told me to get home.  A couple of hours after we arrived in the hospital our daughter was born!  Mom and baby are doing great.  Time has gone by so fast.  We can’t believe our little munchkin is already a week old.  She’s so precious.

So now we have a nine year old daughter, a two and a half year old son, and a newborn daughter.

I’ve been off from work helping my wife with the family and things around the house.  It’s been great spending more time with the kids.  Makes me wish I didn’t have to go back.  Fortunately for us we have been able to get by on one income so my wife doesn’t have to worry about going back to work.

Life changes so much with a newborn.  Money gets tighter, schedules change, family dynamic changes…but it’s all good!  Our household schedule should develop a new norm soon.  Our little miss has been great and hasn’t been keeping us up too much.

So if you have wondered why I haven’t been posting much, well you can see why!

Ok I’ve rambled on too much already.  Words can’t really describe how we feel.  I’ll close by saying that I’m looking forward to watching our daughter grow up with our other little ones!

Congratulations FFB! I was where you are now six months ago with the addition of our fifth, continued single income, family and financial changes. I’m starting now to be able to find time to tackle household maintenance items I hadn’t been able to get to. All the best. Each one is a blessing.

Congratulations! It’s exciting to see that you have been able to live on a budget such that your wife will be able to be home with the kids. With two of our own children, I can attest that the cost of childcare alone would cancel out anything that my wife would make by working. She always had my blessing to work if she chose, but her nearest and dearest work is to be our Home CEO :)

Ha, I more than understand being out of the loop! I’m still catching up myself. And yeah, from what I can tell it gets better but my oldest is getting close to those tween years. Hope it stays good (I know it will).
