Free Shipping Day Dec 17 2009

Free Shipping DayHave you finished all of your holiday shopping? Maybe you received an unexpected to gift and need to return the gesture?  It’s tough running out to the malls this time of the year.  Parking alone is enough to drive you mad!  You can shop online, but you might get hit with shipping fees.  Well, on December 17th over 500 merchants will be joining together for Free Shipping Day.

Free Shipping Day was first organized last year with the idea of giving merchants (you know, stores) and consumers (that’s you, the buyer) one last shot at shopping for the holidays and still get their gifts delivered in time for X-Mas.

Participants this year include Altrec, Toys R Us, Apple Store, Disney, Zappos, and Nike.

I think after this coming weekend we’ll be caught up on any gifts we need but something always comes up at the last minute.  It’s nice to know that if needed, I have one day to check out deals with free shipping!

If you’re shopping check out some great personal finance books!

It’s really something how they got so many retailers in on this!

I hate the mall! I’ve ordered quite a bit of my Christmas online this year. I wished I would have gotten free shipping on all of it.

Malls can be brutal! It’s tough waiting until the last minute but if you have to you have one day to get free shipping at least.

Thanks for sharing this. I had not heard of it before. I just added my online store to the list.
