How A Bill Becomes A Law – Some Friday Fun

by

Yesterday I outlined some of Obama’s $819 billion economic stimulus plan that passed the House of Representatives.  I thought I’d have a little fun today and remind you how a bill becomes a law.  Man I miss SchoolHouse Rock!!

So the Economic Stimulus plan still has to pass Senate and then it’s off to the President to sign.

Who says you don’t learn anything on TV?!?

@ Miranda – Yup. Might have to get them to show my kids!

@ Craig – TV did at least try a bit back then didn’t it? I can still hear a lot of those songs in my head.

@ Brandon – Hmm, president? Guess I have four years to put a platform together.

@ Natalie – You know its classic when the Simpsons cover it!

Great video! I can show this to my nieces and nephews to help them understand the legislative process better. I have to admit it even helped me visualize the process a little better too;)

Love that video. Also love this one (although it’s not a video, just the audio with a picture), the Schoolhouse Rock spoof by The Simpsons: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=8WpwAWUpsXM

Schoolhouse rock is awesome! they really did a great job teaching boring topics and made it fun. I wish they had videos like this for other subjects.
