As you know from my earlier post, today is Blog Action Day. This year’s topic is poverty and what we can do about it.
I thought a great way to increase exposure to the topic of poverty would be to list other people who are writing about poverty today:
- Learning to Give: What *I* Can Do To Fight Poverty
- Matching Donations At your Local Food Bank
- Teach A Child, Save A Generation
- Talking About Poverty
- Poverty
- Poverty – It’s Our Responsibility To Help
- Fighting Poverty In America And Abroad
- War On Poverty
- Bloggers Unite Against Poverty And How You Can Help
- Fighting Poverty By Promoting Education
- Blog Action Day: Poverty
- The Vicious Cycle Of Poverty
- The Poverty Myth
- 30 Simple Ways To Battle Poverty With Technology
- 17 Images Of Poverty
- Poverty In The US

- Poverty Around The World And At Home
- How The US Fights Poverty Worldwide
- Blog Action Day 2008: Poverty - Bible Money Matters
- Blog Action Day 2008: Poverty – Frugal Upstate
- Reflections On Poverty
- Blog Action Day – Poverty Oct 15, 2008

Visit the sites and read the articles. Learn what you can do to help eliminate poverty! If you’re active on social media sites then promote these articles so that more people can learn about poverty and what they can do.
Remember, poverty isn’t something that ony happens in other countries. Many families in this country are one paycheck away from being broke! One major health incident can bankrupt a family. Poverty touches all of us and it can be eliminated. Do what you can to help!

I also created a post about Blog Action Day, and how we can all help!
@ Danny – Excellent! The more awareness we can spread the better.
Thanks for mentioning my post! I’m donating $.10 per visitor and $.25 per new subscriber to Project Peanut Butter today-and as part of the 11Moms, Walmart is matching whatever I raise (as well as the other ladies-there are links to all of them in the post)
@ Jenn – I hope some of my readers check out your site and subscribe!!
