I had a Discover Card when I was a student in high school. At that time they offered the 5% Cash Back promotion as well, but most of the time, I didn’t get close to that percentage back. Discover is a good company, but do not rely on getting massive amounts of cash back. It’s just not going to happen.

It all depends on how you use the card and when. For some cards the cash back increases change over the year while others it may depend on what the card is used for.
