Happy Father’s Day And Links

To all you Dad’s out there (especially mine) – Happy Father’s Day! You guys help mold us into the people we are.  Sit back, grab a cold one, and enjoy the game today!  And know what?  Here’s to the kids too.  You little rugrats (regardless of age) are what make being a Dad great!

So when I was a kid my dad would tell me about the song Cat’s in the Cradle and I just wouldn’t get it.  Heard the song and was like “yeah dad, ok” then throw my headphones back on in the car.  Now that I have a little guy…yeah that song makes my allergies all act up if you know what I mean (you know, all rubbing my eyes and sniffly; allergies I swear!).  I guess some things you can’t appreciate until you’re in the situation.  Makes me think of all the times my dad spent with me.  Just saying.

Allergies? Haha. Us dads know better. Have a great Father’s Day!
Come to think of it, “Cat’s in the Cradle” might cause me to have an allergic reaction too.

Thanks for the link.

I remember that song “Cat’s in the Cradle”! It made me remember as a kid that I would be a better dad (and I am :) ! )! My experience as a kid wasn’t as good as most with respect the that area… My dad was/is a small business owner, so while he was still a great dad, he didn’t have much time for me. In fact we do more now that we ever did when I was younger…

But the song still brings out an allergic reaction to me too, especially since I’m doing those things with my kids (in fact I’m the one that bother them hehe “Let’s play basketball” etc…)!

Now we off to go swimming, where I’m the water monster/shark/blog etc… Good times :)

Father’s day takes on a whole new meaning when you have kids of your own. Also makes me appreciate my own dad even more, now I realize all the things he had to put up with : )
