I Don’t Wanna Go To School and Roundup

by

Labor day weekend means one thing in our household – Good times are coming to an end! School starts up again and it’s always a bit of a sad time.  Our oldest is going to a new school so she is a little nervous about the transition while my wife has to go back to work (she works in education so she gets the Summers off).  It also means it’s back to full-time with the other two kids for me (and I’ve already started school too).  Oh well, goodbye sun, hello falling leaves…

Here are some great personal finance articles to check out:

This September is really interesting with my family. One brother (20) is moving away for college. Another brother (14) is starting high school. I on the other hand only have 2 courses to take, so not too bad for me :) .

Thanks for the mention!

I am ready for the fall. With the Mets being terrible, bring on football season.

With that attitude you’ll never see Summer!

Thanks for the great collection of posts! I loved back to school, new supplies, catching up with friends, etc. Feels weird I’m not heading back to college this week.

My wife used to be a teacher, I never felt bad for her when she had to go back to school in the fall. I worked the whole summer and she had three months off, a pretty good setup for her if you ask me : )

thanks for the mention!

I know what you mean. My wife would complain but I was the one coming home at 7 because of traffic on the bus and train!

Still, those in education need the time to re-charge. It’s mentally taxing being in education.

Wow, it looks like summer to fall is as big a change in your household as any. Good luck! At least it’s an exciting time if not exhausting ;)

Must be something in the air. Both of my kids are dreading school right now.

Yeah, that thing in the air is Fall and it means no more Summer. :(
