Thanks for mentioning my article on compound interest. It worked with my daughter, and as a follow up we opened an account for her at ING Direct, where they display the interest that has accrued each day. For the first week she wanted to log in and see how much money she made “in her sleep!” Yep, I think she’s got it!

That’s great to hear! If we can make money and basic finance fun for kids then we go a long way in making sure they are responsible with their money later in life.

In my view our economy is so market driver that any mass reduction in oil consumption would collapse it. Slowly privatizing out of the welfare state thereby changing the economy to “Survival need” driven is the only way out. Now, mass consumption must go forth at all cost.
