Memorial Day weekend is always a fun time of the year. For many it represents the unofficial start of Summer. For college students, this usually means their semester is over and for those in grade school it means Summer vacation is right around the corner.
But we should also take time to remember what Memorial Day is really about – Remembering those who sacrificed for our country. These people helped make it possible for us to have our barbecues and beach parties and way of life that we have become accustomed to. Take a look at Personal Finance By The Book’s Memorial Day roundup for proper ways to observe Memorial Day as well as some facts about it.
