NASA finally, after several postponements, launched the space shuttle Endeavour this week. It marks the next to last shuttle launch NASA will have with the current shuttle fleet. With multi-trillion dollar budget deficits looming, it is unclear how much funding NASA will get and where exactly the space program will go next.

Kevin,
As a guy who remembers looking up at the moon in 1969 when Americans were walking on it, I am saddened by our nation’s decision to phase out the space program. But as a person who believes you shouldn’t buy what you can’t afford, I don’t disagree with that decision. Many things are going to change in America in coming years as we face unprecedented debt.
Thanks for the link. Greatly appreciated!
I remember eagerly watching shuttle launches. It feels strange that we don’t know what will happen with our space program right now.
