President’s Day is pretty nice in the Free From Broke household. Well, not the day actually, the whole week. Here in New York kids get off of school for President’s week as does the Mrs. It’s nice to get a week together with the family. Of course we’ll also be doing a lot of errands and such like our taxes this week as well. President’s week could not have come sooner!
Hope you have a great President’s Day (and week)!

It’s FAMILY DAY here on Monday, but I don’t get the day off… sigh.. next Holiday Good Friday.
Thanks for the mention!
That doesn’t sound right. Here’s to the next day off!
Wow! I’ve never heard of an entire week for President’s Day. That’s pretty cool.
I’ll be working every day this week. A couple days off in a row would be nice though – I need to organize my taxes still, and that would be a nice time to do it!
I want to say it was a school budget thing in NY some time ago that led to the week off but I don’t recall exactly the reason.
But as you say, it makes for a great week to organize!
Growing up in NY I didn’t know other parts of the country didn’t get off until I was in college…but it has to be nice having everyone around all week. I am only off today.
Thanks for the mention
It is nice knowing that we can all decompress this week. If felt so awesome Sunday night not having to stress about preparing for the coming week.
Too bad I don’t have off of school though… Oh well.
That feeling of nothing to do for a few days is quite nice. Hope you have a great week off. Thanks for the great President’s day links and great site all around – John
