Are you a blogger? This time of the year is great for spring cleaning. A great way to clean up the code on your site and make it run and look AWESOME is to use the Thesis theme/framework. It’s what I use on Free From Broke and I love it! Thesis 1.7 came out a little while ago and its full of some great new features such as new SEO controls, new page options, and upgraded efficiency – all this in addition to the standard awesomeness that Thesis already provides.
So if you are a blogger and you are looking for a new theme (really a framework) then you should give the highly customizable Thesis 1.7 a look!

I’m so slow at upgrading my Thesis theme…normally around the time I finally bother, Chris has just about done the new one.
Still, at least it’s easy to upgrade with Thesis, compared to the old days of emeshed design and code…!
I’m not always quick either. You’re about about upgrading though. Because your customizations are in a separate file, you don’t have to worry when you upgrade the theme and look for all the bits of code you changed. With my old theme, I was terrified of upgrading for fear of losing something. It probably cost me in efficiency and possibly SEO. Thesis is so much easier to upgrade!
Someday I’m going to have to go professional and buy the Thesis package!!! Everywhere I go, I only hear great reviews about it!
Thanks for the mention, and the great selection for me to check out!
Seriously, go for it! I waited a long time because I didn’t want to dish out the money. It was well worth it! Within minuted of my install my site looked as good if not better then what my previous theme did. And with a paid theme like Thesis you are getting a huge amount of forums and support for questions or problems you may have. With a free theme you never know when development may disappear. (And its considered a business expense as well!).
Hey FFB,
It’s been so long since we set up our theme, I can’t even remember how my partner set it up. He’s dealt with most of that kind of stuff and I’ve done my best to build friendships and relationships with our readers ad other bloggers.
I just picked up ‘Wordpress for Dummies’ at the library to help my wife with her massage therapy blog because I’m foggy on most of the details. Pretty user friendly once you get into it though.
Thanks for the links,
Guy
