When you travel, do you ever stay at a Hilton Hotel?
If you find yourself staying at one of over 3,600 hotels that are part of Hilton on a regular basis then you need to know about the Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card.
With a Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card, you earn Hilton HHonors points for your spending that can be redeemed things such as free nights in the Hilton HHonors network and more.
What hotels are part of the program?
You may have stayed at a hotel that was part of the Hilton network and not even know it. Here are the brands under the Hilton umbrella: Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, ConradHotel and Resorts, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree Hotels, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites by Hilton, and Hilton Grand Vacations.
Now on to the Hilton HHonors Points:
You can start off with a bonus 40,000 Hilton HHonors points after you spend $1,000 within 4 months of opening your account (that’s already enough for a free night at a participating hotel!).
Then you can earn 6 bonus points for every $1 spent within the Hilton HHonors portfolio.
You get 3 bonus points for every dollar spent at supermarkets, drugstores, and gas stations.
Finally, you get 2 Hilton HHonors bonus points for every $1 spent every place else.
Other bonuses with the Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card:
There is no annual fee! Many rewards cards these days have an annual fee but the Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card does not. This isn’t a “waive the fee for the first year” offer. There just isn’t an annual fee.
You will receive Hilton HHonors Silver status for as long as you have your card. What does that mean? Members of Hilton HHonors can earn different tiers which earn them greater benefits. With this card you are automatically on the Silver tier. See the card application for specific details on the tier benefits.
Note: If you apply and you don’t qualify for the Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card you may be considered for the Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Gold Card, which doesn’t carry the same benefits. The Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card requires excellent credit.
Is the Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Visa Signature® Card for everyone?
Obviously not if you don’t stay at participating Hilton hotels. But if you find that you like to stay within their network of over 3,600 locations then this is a great hotel rewards card for earning points towards their program! With lots of ways to earn bonus points and no annual fee, this can be a great way to earn free nights and more through Hilton!

I used to travel a lot for business and Hiltons were always among my favorite hotels – especially the Hiltons with the suite set up and kitchen like the Homewood Suites. I was luck enough to also have a Citi Visa so my points really added up! Thanks for sharing this great program!

You should try and stay 4 days at a time or more when visiting a Hilton because you’ll get bumped up to a higher bonus reward rate. I use it with the Amex version but Im pretty sure it applies to all 3…
