There are over 453 Hyatt properties around the world.
If Hyatt is a hotel chain you enjoy, you need to consider enrolling in Hyatt’s rewards program, Hyatt Gold Passport, which offers the flexibility to earn either hotel points or airline mile points.
Hyatt Gold Passport rewards are accrued at 5 points per dollar spent.
Alternatively, Hyatt has partnered with 35 airlines; instead of points, you could earn 500 air miles with one of their airline partners per qualified Hyatt stay. In addition, if you are an event planner, you can earn one point per dollar spent on events at Hyatt by joining their Hyatt Gold Passport Planner Rewards Program.

I stayed in a Hyatt in Hawaii and was very disappointed. It was supposed to be a 4 star hotel, and it was really like a 2 star Motel 6. Anyway, I shared my experience with the manager, who gave me 30,000 Hyatt Points to spend anywhere. I went to an awesome hotel in San Diego (Manchester Grand), and we got a corner king room and a free buffet with our points It really redeemed itself after my first stay.
Robert–I am glad that you complained and they had the chance to redeem themselves with nicer accommodations and service. That says a lot about the chain right there. Thanks for sharing.
