Chase’s program — Ultimate Rewards — is back this year to offer up holiday promotions and provide value and and extra rewards to their customers. From the beginning of November through the end of the year, card holders of Chase’s Chase Freedom®, Chase Sapphire(SM), and Chase Ink cards (those with Ultimate Rewards) will be eligible for the holiday promotions.
Here’s a rundown of the Chase Ultimate Rewards Holiday Promotion and what it’s offering customers this holiday season:
Holiday Merchandise Auctions
Every weekday, from November 1st through November 25th, card holders can use their reward points to bid on popular holiday gifts such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Bose speakers, LG 42″ HDTV, and many more.
Here’s the cool part — the bidding on these items starts at one rewards point!
Earn Extra Reward Points When You Shop at ultimaterewards.com
From November 15 through December 12, 2011, card members with Ultimate Rewards can earn 10 bonus points for every dollar they spend online at select Ultimate Rewards Mall (ultimaterewards.com/mall) merchants. This applies to the following retailers and dates:
Groupon: Nov. 14th — 20 extra points/$1 spent
Kohl’s: Nov. 21st — 10 extra points/$1 spent
Best Buy: Nov. 25th – 10 extra points/$1 spent
Apple Online Store: Nov. 28th – 10 extra points/$1 spent
Target.com: Dec. 5th – 10 extra points/$1 spent
Overstock.com: Dec. 12th – 10 extra points/$1 spent
Cyber Monday Discount
Use your rewards points to shop for merchandise through ultimaterewards.com on Cyber Monday (November 28th) and you will save 25%. (Last year was a little nicer with a 30% discount, but a quarter off is still great.)
NY Jets and NY Giants Access
Chase sponsors both the Jets and Giants. As such, you have the opportunity to use your rewards through Ultimate Rewards for access to Jets and Giants games, including pre-game field passes and private box seats. (This year the Jets play the Giants at home in MetLife Stadium! Just sayin’!)
I’m not sure how many rewards points this would require. I’m sure it’s a lot but if you have the points it coud be a great experience.
Chase Card-Specific Promotions
This year, Chase is offering up specific promotions for each of their three cards in Ultimate Rewards.
Chase Freedom Great Gift Card Sale
Chase Freedom card holders can receive 10 or 20 percent off select gift cards.
These are the gift cards with 20% off: AMC®, Bath & Body Works®.
Here are the 10% off gift cards: Banana Republic, Barnes & Noble, California Pizza Kitchen, Gap, Kohl’s®, Land’s End®, Macy’s®, and Old Navy.
These discounts are good through January 4th, 2012.
There’s also a sweepstakes going on through January 7th, 2012 where if you buy ANY gift card through Ultimate Rewards you will be entered to win a bonus gift card worth between $50 and $10,000.
Chase Sapphire(SM) Winter Experiences
Chase Sapphire card holders can use their rewards to hit the slopes and ski with Olympic Gold Medalist Picaboo Street. The experience package includes a ski clinic, 5-star hotel stay, culinary experiences, and more.
These packages aren’t cheap, 200,000 points, but it’s certainly quite an experience. One of the three options is already sold out.
Ink from Chase VIP Sounds of the Season Experiences
Chase Ink card holders (that’s their business card) can choose from four exclusive musical holiday celebrations, including behind-the-scenes access, VIP seating and more.

Remember
Rewards points and discounts are awesome ways to get more value out of your credit cards! But if you are carrying a balance and paying interest then you lose and extra value you get from your cards.
Make sure you pay your credit cards off in full every month and don’t let the holiday frenzy make you go spend-crazy!

I’m a fan of Chase’s Ultimate Rewards – I actually did some early Christmas shopping in the UR Marketplace at the end of October and got 8x reward points from purchases made at Target.com
It looks like my American friends get lots of choice for their credit card offers this season. Nice.
Bummer! There’s no similar option up North?
Love me the Chase card! I have gotten so much money back with them. I love getting money back instead of paying THEM money–it’s the way to play the C.C. companies.
If you are paying off your card in full every month, you really can reap some great benefits!
This is a great article. I am so far in debt, with credit cards, a house that won’t sell, and car notes, that I don’t know what to do. Even now, I think back on a time when I earned enough money to pay my bills and still have some left over. But thanks to moving to another state, getting a job making less than half of what I made before, and being blessed with twins, that is no longer the case.
